The day before Thanksgiving was our anniversary and we headed west to spend a few days at Carlsbad Village. There was a front moving through and it was extremely windy driving out. Here's a pic driving through the 'dunes' area with low visibility and swirling sand across the highway
a bit further down the road the wind mills were running full tilt
Tides were pretty high, and it was cool with a bit of rain here and there but still we were afforded some nice days to spend at the beach and relax. Brought the kids metal detector to play around with. Didn't find nuthin' but still had fun
