Mass chert found in the land of coral in S Georgia.
This stuff is like glass, rings when tapped. Me chipped this out of 20-50 pound plates.
Big source of native man's spearpoints in the area.
Some of them have branches like bryozoans, guessing that is what they are. And bryozoans common in our coastal chert.

Maybe some real strong vinegar too Pat to soften them up for the palate...that stuff is like Mohs 7.5.
Guessing those are itsy bitsy bryozoans silicified in dissolved diatomic silica broth.

The arrowhead hunting clan calls it Butterscotch flint. Not sure if bryozoans are vegetable or meat or both, pretty sure they are not a sweet.
