boutooThere's probably an easier and cheaper way. What kind of rocks are you tumbling?

How do you mean? My understanding is that only a little of each ingredient is needed & Ingwah said it saves her a lot of money as she needs less grit. I have some rainbow obsidian that I'd like to use it for & I think it's a great experiment to play with. The psyllium I posted is less than $5 for 250g, so it's not costing very much

Hi, I actually tried this method when I first stared out tumbling. I am sure it worked for the original poster but it did not work for me. It ended up being a big gloppy mess and I ended up rinsing the rocks off and starting over. I had even bought a container of natural pylllsim for the project. Good luck!

I'm sorry it didn't work for you, but that doesn't mean it won't work for me or others. I know of at least 2 members + Ingwah that it has worked for, so it's worth experimenting with I forgot to say that I'm in a hard water area

boutooObsidian is tough stuff to get a good polish on. Lots of plastic pellets and maybe some extra water along with extra tumbling time. jamesp has had some outstanding results.
