Of course the best part of tumbling is finally seeing the end result but for me the second best thing is loading a barrel for the first week with some really good material. Got 10 pounds of really sweet looking tiger eye rolling last night. My goal for next year is to do more dedicated batches. I'll still always have mixed loads coming out from saw scraps but I want to always have a dedicated batch going too. Chuck

Tiger Eye was one of my first tumbles. Did a couple 15 lb barrels way back when. Quality material tumbles like a dream. If you have any tiger iron, they tumble quite well together. pic from 60/90 clean out Looking forward to progress reports!

Looking forward to progress reports! Been awhile since I have done a tiger eye batch but last time it tumbled fast and easy. I ran them with brazilian agates with decent results. Not sure if they would have been any better if run with out the agates in there. Chuck

Those are beautiful batches!
Not that you have to do anything with them, but what do you do with all those little pieces of pretty?

All of the tiger eye from that batch I showed sold at our last show and were priced per rock. All of my mixed rock sells at $10 per pound and I keep them on display in my rock shop so I get to look at them all the time ;-) usually about 50 pounds in the box Chuck

I'm not sure how those could get any shinier, so I think tumbling them with Brazilians was fine. -Don
