Maybe not so insulated, rock will pull heat if there is no insulation or air gap barrier. My uncle put floor heat on his house built on solid rock with no insulation barrier. The electric company said the heat would equalize but after a few months with bills in the thousands we found it wasn't the case. A high water table is another no no for floor heat. But a cool house for sure.
