Here are some wraps that I did for friends and family for Christmas..
This is a crazy lace that I did for my sister in law. She loves an antique look and the obvious choice was copper. It goes perfectly with the stone. I ended up making the copper chain myself because the idea of the whole thing being handmade my me would make it even more special to her. She LOVED it..
The next one is for my brother (who is married to that sister in law I mentioned able). This cab is one I got from Chuck/Drummond Island Rocks, stunning cab, and my brother absolutely loved it!
Next is another from Chuck, a tiger's eye. I gave this one to my husband. He actually picked out which one he wanted wrapped, and I wrapped it in copper because he wanted a darker color wire, and copper darkens over time..so there you go.
I might re-do his because the top part is not perfect. I found that the front wires coming down reminded me of a similar design I saw..I then realized it was Chuck's wraps that has the same type of wires pulled down in the front and cut short to make a ll type of look. So while I totally came up with my design on my own, I feel I must give a nod to Chuck who does a similar one (and who does it way better than me, lol).
The next is another one of Chuck's tiger's eye that my son (he's 12) picked out. Even though I took this pic in daylight, it doesn't show the colors the way my husband's stone does..anyway, my son picked out gold for his wire choice.
Sorry about the crease on the paper in background..in too much of a hurry to find a better background.
This next one is a turquoise stone (not Chuck's) that my daughter (10 yrs old) picked out. She told me what kind of design she wanted, and she also requested the swirls on the bottom..so I did it. This is in silver-filled. I haven't even fixed the bail on this one..oh well.
My daughter at the last minute begged me to make one for her teacher. She asked for a similar design so I merely did what she asked. It's a small rose quartz..I chose sterling silver, so I hope the teacher really does like it!
I did make my mother in law a nice wrap in sterling, of one of Don's (djaxon) cabs, I believe it was a charoite, and I even made her a sterling chain, but in my rush I totally forgot to take a pic..Anyway I have been very busy wrapping.
I am so eager to do more, as I have djax's cabs, Chuck's cabs and cabs from Diane (drocknut) that I am re-doing since I've gotten a bit better than when I first got her gift cabs a while ago…I'm so eager to do all of these that my head is spinning, lol! I hope you like them all!
