Looks very good. Carving I am leaving alone. I know I don't have the talent

Very cool. Did you just use the edge of the trim saw blade for the outer shape or another method? I think a quick run in a vibe tumbler starting with 220 grit would clean it up nicely and still retain your carved areas. Just a thought.

good thought chuck, indeed this went through 220 in the vibe. it didn't do much, probably need smaller media to get in tight spaces

Beautiful angel carving and material used for your first carving (turtleback?), cobbledstones! Are your plans to make an ornament?

gingerkid, yes, it was made into an ornament for the tree, hung by the 2 holes drilled in the wings. Looks pretty neat on the tree. I try to make a rock ornament every year.

Do you have any pics of it, along with your other rock ornaments, on your tree that you may post, cobbledstones? Sure would like to see them! Speaking of trees, I need to take ours down...today...ahem.

Thank you for sharing your photos, cobbledstones. I like all of the ornaments you created and they would make very nice gifts!
