The photos above are just what he has in shop, the other things on the list he is going to pull from home.

Ok so I am going to upload photos very soon. Here are the payments and that sort of info that we discussed (may change but this is the current plan) As for payment, The owner is most likely going to setup his own paypal. He can do plastic over the phone, but will not accept american express due to the high fees (Plastic will require a signature via fax for asset protection). All shipments of fragile materials will be heavily padded, insured, and sent via fedex or usps. He dislikes flat rate boxes due to the damage done to them (I understand as I had several boxes from people that arrived with only 1/10 the original box. All items will come with a store receipt With that being said here are some photos (coming very soon. Will the regular rocks and slabs be sent flat rate?

Here are some photos of the bowl Tommy He is asking $157.50 for it Thanks Glenn. It's beautiful but a little out of my price range just days before our Quartzsite trip.

I usually dicker some at a rock shop. That Jade Eagle is a steal at $350 (IMHO) Been watching, and this is actually turning out better than I had expected. Will keep an eye on this one. Nice job so far Glenn!

I agree it's going better than I expected too but I'm gonna sit back and watch for a while and see how they streamline the whole payment and shipping process. Plus I just drained my "rock fund" Paypal account for Quartzsite walking around money heehee.

At this point i'm not sure, I don't see why not, although for slabs, he really likes to pad them so they don't break. I will have to talk to him more about that. I personally would send them flat rate as that is what I have always done and I know how to pack them.

Glenn, you are probably looking forward to a cash influx to your wallet for doing this, but you may want to consider taking some part of your payment in rocks. Sounds like you are going to have access to a rock hoard that not everyone gets to play around with. I wouldn't pass that opportunity up! You can sort through his stash for pieces you would like for your own collection or use as well as keep an eye towards items that you can then sell yourself.
You could also offer to do the packing and shipping along with the making the sales and taking the pictures that you already are doing. Taking the packing and shipping burden off this guy has to be worth a good chunk of change - or rocks. The more you increase this guy's sales, the more you are worth to him.
I don't know how large a rock inventory this guy has, but it sounds like there is some money to be made here for you along with a chance to add to your own collection. Nice gig you stumbled on here!
Good luck and keep the pictures coming.

Here is a perfect example of why a poll is the wrong path. Take more pics of the unakite sphere for $35. Im calling dibs on that. I am just now informed that that the sphere is of marble. Sill available if you're still interested in it. He says he is willing to go down to $20 for it.

Encouraging words from captbob should not be ignored. Agreed, I just got off work so now I have more time to write. He said that packing would be free but shipping would still apply. I will probably be packing them unless he is wanting to. I'm not sure how much i'm going to get on top of the hourly I am making for the camper. He is most likely going to make a disclaimer as a business owner for shipping saying something like the color may look different, probably something for returns if he is going to allow returns (probably not). Also the big Jade carving for $350 is still available, the smaller jade hawk is presumed sold. I will probably be putting some slabs aside when I get a chance to go through the boxes.

Also as for payments he is not wanting to take plastic at this time, I would have to personally process paypal as he doesn't want to setup a paypal right now. He will probably take MOs. He is new to the online selling so it might take him a little bit of time to adjust. He is worried about those who may be dishonest (we all know the horror stories so this is understandable).

You called dibs at $35 and now that it's $20 you need specifics? Sure looks like Unakite to me...
