This might be enough of a hit for me to shut down my ETSY store. I work 50 hours a week so going to the post office to mail items everyday is out of the question. I only ship my cabs and jewelry in small flat rate boxes so they are picked up at my house every day. The jump from $5.25 to $6.80 may very well be a deal breaker. This also means everything we order from the members here and from online sites will all go up in price too. Should be fun changing the shipping price on over 100 Etsy listings today.

I just went at looked at the Etsy memo for the rate increase and this is the chart for shipping right through the etsy sale. Looks like $6.10 for SFRB. I guess on a $40 wire wrap that might not scare people off too bad but I dont think anyone would be a $15 cab and pay $6 shipping. From ETSY today

Drummond Island Rocks You can update all of your shipping in one place-- shipping profiles. It's super easy, just edit what is on file. YES!!!! This SUCKS big time. I ship stones first class and jewelry priority. The prices are just too high now.

I ship stones first class and jewelry priority. The prices are just too high now. I googled how to change shipping on multiple items this morning and seen the shipping profile option. That did make it a little easier but I still needed to create a few profiles to suit different items. In my shipping profile I set all of my cabs to $6 shipping with additional items shipping free so that at least if customers order multiple cabs it would ease the shipping price shock but now I am angry because when a customer clicks the shipping policy button they do not see that additional items are shipped free. If I were a customer I would want to know that. I think the way it is now they will not know that till they add the second cab to the cart. Does this make sense? Chuck

I don't like that, either. As a customer or a seller! They should list the whole policy. Just another reason why I don't care much for etsy.

rockjunquieI just tried it and it sucks. As a buyer I would not even think about buying 4 or 5 cabs when the shipping says $6 on each listing. They would never know about the free shipping of additional items until they add to the cart which they wont do because they will think it is $6 each. Chuck

I don't know why ppl keep buying, but they do. I think when they go to see their cart, they can see the shipping break and come back for more.

But how many people come and look and never add to the cart because they think shipping is $6 each and just leave. You may never know that one. I will probably add a note to every listing (120) but should not have to. In the past etsy used to list all of your options on every listing. They just stopped doing it for some reason last year. Price went up big time.. From $22.00 Flat Rate to $33.00 International USA from $5.75 to $6.45 USPS rates.. Huh my last 7 orders went to Israel, Australia and UK $33.00 Flat Rate its like WTH!! But we all try to help international buyers by either splitting the cost or better deal. Damn its getting bad and look at this. People from China can ship their mercenaries for free thanks to the USPS agreement. Well isnt that nice from USA. This is why China can sell their stuff for 0.50 cents and ship for free
