Today I sat down to practice groove wrapping. I made one decent groove wrap before this, but I've been nervous about doing it with silver. I know it's not that expensive, but it seems a shame to waste it. So I sat down with a unakite cab wrapped it three times. Each time, I felt a little more confident, until I was ready to try the Petoskey stones. I even tried to take Etsy-style pictures! A big thanks goes out to Drummond Island Rocks for his tutorial and for answering my questions along the way. Smaller one:

Bravo Rob. Glad to see someone else giving it a whirl. The bail binding wire is the hardest part but just takes some practice.
Photo style looks familiar. Now put them on etsy.

These two are going to the people who let me use their lot as beach access to get to the rocks. The girl is in eighth grade and is in my robotics club. She was in my juggling club when I had one a couple years ago. Her mom gets the other one. Nothing for brother or dad.

And yes, Drummond Island Rocks, I even copied your photo style. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, right?

Make sure you save your scraps. Keep all of your .925 scraps in a separate bag. I have sold a couple pounds to pawn shops that deal in gold and silver and I have sent some back to RIO to pay for more wire.

Yep, I'm doing that. I also have some argentium. Can that be mixed in or does it need to be separate?

RIO wants all different types in separate marked bags.

You nailed it Rob! And I wouldn't say you've done nothing for the dad. Happy wife = happy husband. Hehe
