Well I got this motor and i'm not sure what wires should make it work for a normal 3 prong house circit. The green wire (i'm presuming ground?) connects by itself and the other 5 wires go into one side. You now have all the info I have.

Try googling a schematic for the motor

Green, white & red. Don't know what the other wires were used for unless someone had it wired to be reversible. It's only a 1/8 HP motor, so don't plan on running anything big with it.
It's also possible that it is a 2 speed motor. A switch would have let it run at high or low speed. I have one of those, and it was a nightmare figuring out the wiring.

I also say google for schematics on this type of motor-you should be able to come up with something...

It's a 3 speed HVAC Blower Motor designed to have air continuously over it. Requires a Capacitor between Brown and White. White is Neutral. Red is Low, Yellow is Medium, and Black is High Speed. Green is Ground. May be bad unless it was pulled out of a used running Air Handler.

my experience is black is high speed, white is common. Green is grounded to motor and machine. The other colors would med high, medium, low. You can hook the different colors in place of the black to check speed. If you have an ohm meter the higher the resistance between white and a wire the slower the speed. I hope this helps. I am not an electrician though so the disclaimer is try at own risk..

I think 1650 3SPD means 3 speeds. I would say it is rated at 1/8 HP at 1060 RPM. May be that 3rd and fastest speed is 1650 RPM. It is a fan motor, and they are often with 2 or 3 speeds.
I use a single speed 1060 RPM just like that on a tumbler with a 35 pound barrel. It is air over motor but does fine. Fan duty is tough duty, those are tough expensive motors.
yes, a capacitor should be required.
Look up schematic for 2 speed or 3 speed HVAC motor. You would have to gamble and buy a capacitor for it. Maybe a an electrician has one laying around to test it.
Lots of torque in those motors, they are fatter in diameter and have a lot of leverage. low RPM nice for lapidary
Daniel has the wire colors correct as i know.

Thanks guys, i'm no electronic so the diagrams are almost a foreign language to me What type of capacitor would I need? we might have one in the shop.

Thanks guys, i'm no electronic so the diagrams are almost a foreign language to me What type of capacitor would I need? we might have one in the shop. You'll need what's called a Run Capacitor. I can't find any specific data on that motor. Could be 5uf, 7.5uf, they are most common I see for blower motors. Is there any more information on the data sticker that's not in the picture that has a number with uf next to it?
