That is awesome. I don't have a big saw and have never cut a big rock. How do you know how to cut it? It looks like it has several possibilities.

The wife and I found several of those conglomerate eggs when we dug at Baker too. Basically a big mass of small eggs sealed together. Cool thing is, Bakers have one of the most silica rich matrixes and the whole egg usually takes a good polish...Mel

That is awesome. I don't have a big saw and have never cut a big rock. How do you know how to cut it? It looks like it has several possibilities.
My intention is to split it in half lengthwise, similar to what's shown here:

Tough choice on that egg, on most,you have an idea where to cut....Some eggs it doesn't matter, some you will ruin the cut of the egg going in the wrong direction (Not getting the full beauty of the inner core)...Equatorial or horizontally, tough question..

Your lucky to have scored a raw rough Baker egg, they usually won't sell them like that! Tried buying a few from the mine, it was a no... They sold only cut and polished sets...Very expensive eggs too...
