Just cut this Brazilian agate I got from broseph82 last night and after the oil dry and dawn dish soap scrubbing the surface is about as good as I have seen on any cut. Reflects light with about a 600 finish and no trace of any saw marks. 4" x 3.5" shown 100% dry. Would have been good coaster without the fracture but will still make nice looking cabs. Thanks for looking Chuck

What is your refund policy on fractured rocks broseph82? JK. Cut into three of the Brazilians just to check color. two brown and one blue/gray. This one had the best pattern. Chuck

Sweet rock. At one time I used to align the saw very close and got those cuts that would reflect at a steep angle. Guessing a 500 grit finish.

I have cut many and many of Brazilian agates,I would say 40% of them are fractured in one way or the other.... Liking the pattern on that agate-SHARP colors!!! Great tumblers though or smaller cabs for sure.... Got to change out my oil on my saw and dress the blade before I start on those Brazilians...(Those are some hard agates)..

Chuck, lol. is that a druzy pocket on the inside? Yes, a small amount of crystal showing. Cut is not quite on center of the rock so the pocket may get larger a few cuts in. Chuck

Now why are you changing out your oil before cutting something hard like these because of the silt accumulation?
