I don't post much here. I'm much more active at other forums and Facebook. But I want to thank Tony here also for my new toy. Refurbished Highland Park 18" saw. My rock pile better watch out!

I always think its funny when I come here and I see myself listed as "new member" just because I only have 35 posts. I registered 3 1/2 years ago! Maybe they need a designation as "serial lurker" LOL

With a saw like that no one should call you new - most will gladly call you friend. Where do I send the rocks that won't fit on my 12" slab saw? Congratulations. Tom

Awesome scoring such a fine addition to the rock shop! Nice saw video.
What are you using in the saw? Is that an oil? Just looked kinda thin...
If an oil, I would recommend backing off for a minute or two when you open the lid after a cut. Allow that mist to settle some to reduce what you are breathing in.
Also, back off your cross feed (move the rock back away from the blade) before sliding the carriage forward after a cut.
Sure is a purdy saw!
