Spent a couple of hours on the beach yesterday. Nothing large but got some exercise. Found this piece and need advice, I am thinking follized bone?

Which beach did ya' hit? I have seen that kind of fossil before,but slips my mind......Will ask a friend of mine about it..

Seems this year,many are being found on the beaches....I have a few small ones,from a couple years ago,didn't know what they were either-till now....

My first thought was a femoral hesd. Maybe bone not even fossil.

Yup, non fossil colonial tubeworm colony. They build calcium tubes. There are solitary tube types too.....Mel
