Been here since Feb. 7 and have seen more rocks and stuff than I once thought the Earth contained. I am posting off my little IPad so when I get home I will add a bunch more. This is a single dealer, El Paso Rock Shop. Go ahead and add your Tucson photos here. And any useful advice for someone who may venture here for their first time. My my first advice: Parking is easier than I was led to believe. Yes, cars do get towed, businesses watch their lots closely. So, park in a lot, pay the $3 to $5 dollars and ride the Gem shuttles for free all day.

Looking forward to your updates!
The Tucson show is so high on my list that I'm not sure there is anything above it.
You gonna make it to the big hall where the to die for display specimens are?

I'm in Tucson too! First day here and I only blew a third of my budget, yay! Probably helped that the shows I went to (22nd St and Rapa River) didn't have too much lapidary material. I expect that Kino (slated for Saturday) is gonna blow the rest.

Every rockhound should get to Tucson and Quartzite at least once in their life time!

One bit of advice: While there are small shipping stations at many of the venues take the time and get some USPS flat rate boxes. Just do a search for "post office Tucson" and drive there. I was quoted $80 by one shipper. The rough I got squeezed into a MFRB for just under $14. Stopped at an Ace hardware store on Grant Ave. and picked up a roll of packing tape for $5.

How long does the show go on? It's not as long as Quartzite is it?

The biggest part of the show goes through this weekend. What the show is, is a conglomeration of many shows. They all kind of do what they want. Some have shut down already and some will go in a bit longer. Being here from the 6th - 13th seems to be the best time. But if a guy had a truck and was here when they closed I would guess some good deals could be had then. But a more direct answer to your question; the last official date for any of the shows to be open is the 15th.
There is a phone app to help visitors to the show and lots of printed brochures to pick up.

That the lady from the Prospectors show on the Weather Channel? Buy any amazonite from her? Yep, Amanda Adkins. Met most of them except for Rich. Missed him somehow. All gracious and willing to do photos. didn't do any gem purchasing, my budget was blown on the travel.
