A friend of mine on Facebook (a gentleman i have never met even though he lives in the same general area) recently commented that his 3 year old daughter was discovering his old rock collection. After a few private messages, i obtained his snail mail. I then collected and labelled a collection of polished and unpolished bits, enough to fill a small flat rater. On one of the identifying pieces of paper on a rough piece of Fluorite, i wrote "Hold up to the light". The result? Priceless. Figured I share this with y'all. KD

I have a Grandkid rock pile in my yard, they get to pick any rock they want out of there and take it home...Most kids love rocks, fossils and gems.... They are the next generation of hounders, keep pumping those rocks to them..... Great story and photo-Thumbs up

Good on ya! I love it when youngsters show an interest in the hobby and I keep and a couple bags of tumbled stones under the counter at the shop just for such purposes.
