Finally got a few free moments to post some pics of Tucson, 2016. Won't go deep into explanations but if you have a question be sure to chime in. If you have your own photos from this year there go ahead and add them. Left the land of cold and snow. Had a upward swing of 100 degrees from home to Tucson, record highs there! No signs like that at home! Pics are in no real order. A few days were fairly quiet with lots of room to look at stuff. Dwayne Hall Brian Busse Amanda Adkins Joe Dorris Tigereye If you like piles of rock, they have it there. Huge Mookaite By the crate More crates. Too darn big for the house. Meteorites aplenty. And big meteorites. Courtyard orange trees My favorite shop: El Paso Rock Shop. They have more material than probably anyone there.

Yes, thank you for posting your pictures. Did you ship rocks home?
The two out the window pictures from your flight sure are quite the contrast. Hope you enjoyed thawing out and arriving home wasn't too much of a shock.
Did you make it to the main expo hall(s) where the high end display specimens are?
Rocks by the pallet and in 55 gal drums. That's the way I like to rock shop!
Note to self: line up freight company before Tucson trip

I truly enjoyed the pictures and wish I could have been there with you and had a fist full of cash. It was also nice seeing the folks on the "Prospectors TV show".

Yes, thank you for posting your pictures. Did you ship rocks home? I shipped one box with two rocks in a MFRB. It arrived today, (Wernerite [fluorescent] and Grand Canyon Onyx) box was quite damaged and some chips off of the two rocks. But no worries as those are going to be trimmed anyway. I am awaiting a package with a specimen from the U.P. of Michigan. It will be made into a sphere! (And that is what is happening to those that arrived in today's package as well.) They have shipping available on-site but you will pay dearly for their service. I located a Post Office just 5 minutes from the hotel. The difference in price paid for a meal and beer!

Love the "Separated at Birth" display. Must have missed that one while I was there, so I'm glad you posted it!

Don't think that is pink, just rough (bare) rock.

I have sent the question to the owners of the display. DiWolf Fine Stone Emporium. Will let you know what I find out. captbobI did not see your reply right away and it looks like you are probably correct. Several of their pieces were from AZ. Will still update when they get back to me.

Every now and then I get one right. Kinda like that blind squirrel finding a nut!
Looking forward to their reply. Records say the Morenci mine on my specimen.
