I found that book in a used book store. Dude came to a bad end though so I always read it as satire, not as an instruction manual...

We are planning a trip to Georgia for some agates this weekend (James H Floyd State Park) and noticed where we are going is fairly close to the Alabama border. Would love to try tumbling some of this stuff. Does anyone have a location they could share on where to get some?

Would love to try tumbling some of this stuff. Does anyone have a location they could share on where to get some? To far north and west for quartzite. Might happen, but doubt it. However most of the creeks in that area have chert and often fossils. Look up Summerville jasper(or agate). If Lake Weiss is low arrowheads can be found.
