Howdy folks, Only one decent one for today. Other two were duds. Thought I had me a nice black Marfa type plume but inside it was just mainly black and with cloudy stuff. Oh well. I guess this Coquina would technically be called chert due to it's obviously marine origin but it is fully agatized and colorful due to the usual iron salts found in much of west Texas. Shell fragments appear to be clams rather than the usual Devil's Toenail type oysters. Only the second hunk of this I've ever found with the Rio stuff. Anyway, enough blathering. Here's a pic...Mel
