beefjello was selling dino bone a while back. Don't know if it is gem bone, but I bought some, and would again.

Gem bone is highly agatized and very colorful with distinctive cellular structure. Dino bone that is not Gem bone is usually brown, tan or reddish and can even have good cellular structure, but the vivid Reds, Blues, Oranges, Yellows, etc are not present. You will know good gem bone when you see it  Do a Google search for Dino bone slabs or cabs, then search for Gem bone |

Really good gem bone brings crazy prices. I have some dino bone with decent color and cells I'll send ya if you pm me a snail mail addy. Not what I classify as gem bone, but is hard, has some color and cells. You could get some practice on bone and even get some nice cabs out of it |

I was fortunate enough to go to Quartzite this January. Shows like that are the best place to buy, where you can see it in person. I picked up a couple pound chunk of bone this year. It doesn't have the bright colors I love, but the cells are very translucent. You can see those cells on almost all sides of the chunk. I hope to slice it real thin to show off the translucency. Maybe even make doublet cabs.
If you can't get to Quartziteor or Tucson, local rock shows are good sources too. I sell my jewelry at the Gem & Mineral show in Moab, Utah. Of course, there are lots of people selling dino bone there, since that's where much of it comes from. My booth neighbor had some great slabs of colorful bone & I spent my allowance at his booth.
