This week I redid some of the unakite from the batch I posted last week. I redid stage 2- polish. I think there was some improvement although I haven't compared them with the other pics yet. Andrea

Looks pretty good! The difference in hardness of the minerals in Unakite can make it a tough tumble. The dark material (black speckles)is often the softest and tends to leave pits.

Those look pretty good from here. Did you do anything different this time? I've found that for rocks that undercut, doing each stage for a shorter period of time reduces the undercutting without affecting the polish much. I think Chuck taught me that from his experience tumbling pudding stones.

I did each stage for 4 days. I think it did help with some of the undercutting. I'll have to try shortening the time the next time that happens.

peachfront I used a vibe. They had gone though polish but some were grainy so I reran them to see if I could improve them.
