How long do you usually run them in rotary stage #! with 60/90?

Until all the pits and exterior fractures are gone. Can take months with recharges every week. But I inspect each stone every week and see if ready to move on. Some finish faster than others.

Wish there was a set answer, but it depends on what you are starting with. It can take weeks or months.
Run them until the rock looks as you want it to look when it has a polish on it.
The next step after the 60/90 isn't going to do much as far as shaping and removing flaws. The purpose of each step after the coarse grit is to remove the scratches left by the previous grit.
Your rocks need to be 90 to 95% finished when they leave the coarse grit. Unless you want to run them in the 2nd grit way longer than necessary.
Coarse grit does the work. The remaining grits and polish refine that work.
