By the way Andrea ...
That's the cleanest garage I've seen in a long time. Other than in an vacant house. I'd have shelves on that step up behind the car with stuff stacked to the ceiling! And some kind of storage along the wall with the windows with MORE stuff.

Good, a grown up who felt no need to retreat to a 'safe place' over a joke. This is a free speech zone, requires no permit... ...and open carry.

We will be putting shelves or cabinets in that garage once things get settled in the new one. A lot of the stuff isn't here. It wasn't supposed to take so long to get the big garage built. I made good use of the step at the back of the garage by putting my 45 or so buckets of rocks there. Many are still there, I'm planning on working on it today.

Intheswamp It's been fun keeping a record of the whole process. I'm glad I have people to share it with.

I just cut my first Brazilian agate. Actually I'm not sure it is a Brazilian but I sure do like it. I got a box from broseph82 way back in January. Here is the first cut.

Funny. No comments on something not rock-related. Nice lift!!! Just think...you could frame up a floor on that lift...imagine how many rocks you could put on it....double stacked crates!!!!! The rock storage implications are incredible!!!!!!

Now that lift is pretty slick! Handy Dandy put together lift kit. sweet Is there room in the garage to put another car in front of the lift? Gonna be one awesome shop! Still say you should have held out for more square footage on your side.

I've been busy. After sitting on the garage floor for months unused, my saw is finally get a workout. I'm getting the rock clamped securely in the vise without too much trouble now. It also took a little time getting my slabs 1/4" thick. Here they are. Not sure what it is, but it was the first one I cut. Don't nt know what this one is either. I think this is called chicken scratch...I got it at an estate sale. It was easy to clamp, too bad it doesn't have a nice scene. This is from a box of Rios from Sabre52 . George West pet wood from Sabre52 . Another piece of George West from Mel. Backlit Brazillian agate from broseph82 Pet wood I got from an estate sale. Not sure I think this is peanut obsidian. Peanuts don't look so good. I don't know what this is but I got it from rockncajun. That's all for now. I will post more tomorrow. Thanks Andrea
