Ugh! I just typed out this story and the flippin' connection died! Trying again, but now it will seem anticlimatic. LOL! One late night, my brother and I were leaving a protest in DC. We were relying on GPS to get us out of the construction maze. Up on the interstate the GPS says in it's pretty British voice- turn left ahead. Well, there was an entrance so, at 60 mph, we start the turn only to slam to a halt inches from a flippin' traffic gate!!! Check underwear. Turn off GPS. Stupid thing didn't know the HOV was closed. Hear crazy GPS stories like that quite often . It is a great thing to have I guess ( I don't ) but a person still has to use a bit of common sense , which seems to be going the way of the dinosaur . What does all this GPS chat have to do with fire pit signs anyway ? Oh yeah , getting people to find jamesp fire pit mall .

Reinforced fire pit cover for a 69 inch round granite table top. Ohio client is using a 48 inch fire pit for a coffee table support in his living room. Bottom of reinforced table top. Tiny welds to avoid heat warpage.

James... The nut on my puter keyboard is acting up and lost my message somewhere in the universe.. Love it that the dogs have quit using white face makeup to panhandle as mimes.. We all grow up...sometimes..maybe not.. grin Are your cold frames from Xcell? Thought that I recognize Cliff Karstens old designs for the bows. C..

Atlas Greenhouses from right here in Alapaha Georgia coloradocliff. Only got 2 100 ft 16' cold frames, 100 X 27 , 100 X 22, 30 X 30. no way as nice as your nursery, not by a long shot. I do have a couple of 4000 sq ft concrete raceway ebb and flows outside for aquatics, they do real well. Your nursery is phenomenal. Neat and organized. You have shoppers, so it is kinda mandatory.

Not too neat. Processing 600 transactions per day. Restocking is hard and production for mama day is still going o. Rather would have an easier life. Sell your expensive land and buy this one.. grin. Cheap 750 k. Be cool to do aquatic stuff. I have a couple lakes on the property. A one acre that has fish and a smaller one that dries in winter that would be good for some hardy lilies or hyacinths. Yep Atlas greenhouse.. Yeah Cliff copied Atlas's design . I have home bent and built bows back in the day. I built operated and sold two other big paces. Mt Garfield in Grand Junction, Colo and Mile High Greenhouse in Delta county Colo. Both similar to this one. Both still owned and operated by original buyers. My operations eat Home Depot and Walmart's lunches. They are my prey species. hehehe We close at 4 on Sundays and it cant come soon enough. Been a long production season fro sure. Need to get the place sod. Later, Cliff

My operations eat Home Depot and Walmart's lunches. They are my prey species. hehehe We close at 4 on Sundays and it cant come soon enough. Been a long production season fro sure. Need to get the place sod. Later, Cliff I opened retail. Quit fast, went wholesale. The aquatics have been good to us for 25 years. 6 months per year. High return per plant, 8 inch water lilies @ $15 and 6 inch bog plants @ $5 wholesale. Orders come in on faxed availability. Minimal communication w/humanity. Also sell floating water hyacinth and sarracenia. Sitting just south of big Atlanta my market. The heyday of water plants way slowed, so only at 35% capacity. Perfect for 60 year old. Me and wife, one part time hoodlum. Ole Atlas makes a fine house. Real cheap. Great people to work with. The two big houses were custom w/high knee walls and width for water holding grow benches and ATV pulling trailer ingress/egress aisle. The planting media was my local clay. We would dig and pot the clay to make a flat spot for a another greenhouse. All houses and barns sitting on excavations of potting soil. Lucky. Use Florikan fertilizer exclusively, you can grow killer plants with it in sterile sand. I used to harvest bare root plants from the wild for wetland mitigation projects back when the govt. was making developers mitigate. That was lucrative but hard work. Hell Cliff, put a prison fence around that spot and grow medicinal Mary Jane. I was looking at hybrid seeds at @ $10/seed !#$%^. I am sure it is not that easy. Nothing is. I competed(if you call it that) with the box stores. Mom and Pop's blew them out of the water selling plants from aquatic nurseries like mine. I have Mom and Pop's that kick their butt. Long live the kick ass Mom and Pop's !! (stick your chest out David, kick Goliath in the buttocks) I wouldn't sell a plant to those folks for nothing. In recent years the box stores have been getting a toe hold though. Mostly in terrestrials.

Got a prison fence around it. Can't be a game fence because the deer still wander and browse. Yep prison fence it is cause I can't escape right now..grin Yep feminized hooters seed $15.00 each but most local growers keep mother plants and take cuttings. They call them clones and as a commercial grower for years I'll still call them cuttings.People have cut back on using grow lights because now its legal they can grow in much higher light level greenhouses like your Atlas's.course if you had them growing hooters you would have to watch your Atlas cause your one hoodlum would tell his friends and you would be broken into. Not something I would like. Hate wasting ammo on slime balls. Hehehe

I expect to see closed door communities with a consortium of growers all living on the same compound. Well fenced and armed. Maybe Uncle Sam has a prison for sale ? Oh, they are over populated and in high demand. SW Atlanta is desolate due to Atlanta International Airport noise. Close to the big city but no one lives here. Lots of crops in the woods. September the helicopters are flyin low looking for the stuff every year. I agree, too much danger. Because a grower is probably gonna pop a cap in someone messing w/his crop. It is his nature. However those guys shoot back. Grower out numbered and out gunned. Bad formula. No peace.

Good morning, Nurseries are a place of peace and hard work. Really hard now. Running my legs off. Legs cramping like crazy..whine... Out to change the water.. Have to keep things alive till we get it all sold... Glad we live in a high mountain valley with no hoodlums. Wouldn't like Hotlanta for that reason and humidity. Would like it for other reasons though. Hope your day goes well and sales are strong. Friend Cliff

I pay attention. You have to perform hard work yet smiling for the customers at the same time. Tough mix. Shall we say character building. Your a character Cliff ? Ell yea. Bet your the life of the party. I am out here in the country. Few hoodlums. However when delivering to the big A town they are common. They usually leave us gun toting rednecks in beat up pick up trucks alone. Pump shotguns have no favorites. Something about 'don't give a schitt redneck mentality' that makes the gang bangers nervous. Good day to you too. Hole at end of tunnel after Mom's Day.

So I guess dropping in this Saturday before William Holland would be a bad idea 😂 You show up during filming and they may throw you in the movie (TV show)! Looks like lots of fun Jim. They keep you busy or you just stay out of the way? Tell 'em they need a dog or two in the cast! More details and pics please. Bonus points for cast & crew hottie pics! ETA: wonder how long before jamesp is "discovered" and whisked off to Hollywood.

A link to the photos I took are here: forum.rocktumblinghobby.com/thread/78638/investigation-discovery-film-day-today?page=3&scrollTo=929067Yep, melhill1659 there was plenty of testosterone for the ladies. I think my wife was drooling. Shame on her. captbob, I stayed out of their way but was kept busy doing errands like supplying them w/stuff or things the property owner had to do. Mostly hosting info. The place was a haven for shooting because of the building design. And the in-law suite served as a high visibility control tower. The picked up every iota and said they would come back and repair or fix anything. They want to do more shoots here. It is way back in the woods and there was about zero distractions. A client(hot Germanic gal) drove up in the middle of the shoot at the barn and the director jokingly jumped my stuff. There was like 70 cars parked along the drive and she thought they were all fire pit customers at first. Cast and crew cracked up. I believe they concluded I should be a pro flirt. German gal very receptive lol. Them people don't care about Hollywood. South Atlanta is a metropolis for filming. Doubt there was one Hollywood import. They call it 'Y'allwood' and 'Southwood'. Them folks dialed in well to film. Yeah, coloradocliff, all them grips would have lost their grip if Melissa walked on stage. Dude, I went to engineering school, no time for partying. That is some hard schooling. However, on Saturday night we did cut loose. At least one piece of furniture went out the window

I only went to 4th grade but did 4 years of it so I'm like a raccoon in raw mental ability. Sounds crazy at your house. Makes my day seem easzy peazy. Survive the crazy stuff. Those film folks had plenty of technology. They set up video analysis equipment on any little flat surface available. Crazy lighting and cameras. Never got a train degree but would love to get behind the wheel ? Do they have wheels ? Maybe levers, easier. No steering, perfect for engineer. That is why they allow an engineer to drive a train ! It only has a throttle coloradocliff. Education don't mean crap. They can't teach instinct.
