Howdy folks, On break between Saturday trail rides ( Whew, two more to go this weekend) so figured I'd post these. Thanks for looking ....Mel This Rio grande poppy jasper looked so promising. Took two slabs and both shattered in the saw leaving little one cab fragments so I gave up on this one. A nice small plume agate. Sure wish I could find a big'un some time. Closer look at last slab:

Them plumes are the cream of the crop. Know where they found? I've found a handful of tumble size plume agates, but nothing bigger here in Cali.

Adam, Both the specimens come from Carrizo Springs, Texas on the Rio Grande River.....Mel

Dang Mel, wish it would thaw out around here. Still got that box full that I got from the kids. Chompin at the bit to get them cut.
