bushmanbilly finds this wood in Saskatchewan Canada. Sure does look like bryozoans in the fill. Or could it be petrified root bog which makes more sense ? Other side

looks like bog wood to me most bog will have little limbs in the mix

I have never found bogwood in this place. All the PW is from the Redwood/Conifer family here. fossilman jakesrocksThis the piece it came from. As you can see James takes better pictures.

That looks like clams or oysters. The way the layers are and the way they flare out. These are oysters. The fossil ones can have shells that are 2-3 inches thick.

Nothing like that in North Dakota/when I lived there..............Awesome stuff...............I would say root bog also...........
