Some really sweet OB there. 1 of the Mahogany reminded me of the jet stream, Others with small white dots have an "outer space" quality. Do you know what causes the spots?

fossilman, any fire layers hiding in that gold sheen? It looks a lot like the material that Tom was showing me.

Some really sweet OB there. 1 of the Mahogany reminded me of the jet stream, Others with small white dots have an "outer space" quality. Do you know what causes the spots? We think the white spots could be partial snowflake Obsidian.....The place we hunt it at,has many different type of Obsidian...

fossilman, any fire layers hiding in that gold sheen? It looks a lot like the material that Tom was showing me. Yes, I have a few that have fire in the layers....It seemed the further we moved down the hill (on our hunt) the more fire Obsidian we found...

A few people I know,were cutting their Obsidian the wrong way,as they would say,it was boring to cut..LOL I showed then how to cut with the flow lines on the Obsidian-it changed their tune....Thumbs up (every cut is different on the same rough)..

Beautiful material, love that mahogany obsidian! Not a lot of obsidian here in northern Colorado, I need to road trip out somewhere for some more exotic for me rocks.
