Carving, mini-sculpture, whatever, I'm not sure that I'd exactly call this shaping either of these and I have to admit that it's my first. I was reasonably pleased with the outcome, but my wife guessed that part of it looks like 'a person' and part looks like a 'small knife ... a butter knife'. I'm not saying either is right or wrong, but I thought it would be interesting to see what others think it is ... The rock is New Zealand Jade, Pounamu, the item is (I estimate) an inch and a half long.

I'm guessing @ 1.5" long it's neither. Larger pix to see the detail better would help.
You did get a nice polish on it.

- a mummy
- a letter opener for really tiny letters 3
In fact it was intended to identify a winged maple seed. Thanks for taking part and again, thanks for the comments on the polish. Makes it worth the effort.

If it were curved a little I would say half a prop for a plane.
