Howdy folks, Had some time to multitask and cut a few yesterday. Here are a few pics...Mel This wood is really gorgeous n the exterior bluish and red and orange with dots. Inside just this sort of gray/blueblack tone. This species seems to be real common in Texas but I have no idea what kind of wood it is. Any one of you fossil guys have a guess, let me know. Totally nondescript Rio on the exterior, orby inside. I like it! This is one of the oddest Rios I've cut lately. Nice patch of flower garden plume along the bottom but the black bands in the clear stuff above, rather than being black plume, are a strange cobwebby type black formation. First time I've ever seen that in an agate.
