Arabic Script Stone. Or Elephant Jasper. Actually, shells and sand, etc., compressed at high pressure on the sea floor. Very cool. All sterling. Another of my sterling/FS wraps. Lovely piece of Kingman. And yet another. This was commissioned by a friend. I gave her the pearl and only charged what the wire cost. Since the back of the pearl isn't flat, I had to do a little creative winding of the pearl wire so it lays flat and doesn't flip up when she wears it. A very cute Carnelian, wrapped with copper. Added a small banded agate. Got into Chain Maille in a big way over the months, but these sterling earrings with Swarovski are my favorites. Amazing how chain maille can be so dainty. Helm weave. A Chain Maille bracelet in silver plate, oxidized. I made a little nest for 3 Aquas. Byzantine weave. Just love how these huge blown up pics show every tiny flaw. Ugh. That's it for now.

Groove wraps on acid! Those stones strutting their stuff. You put the strut in their stride! Nice work, be creative. Challenge the rest of us, we love it.

Thank you for your kind comments. I tell you guys, those first two wraps are so easy and go so fast you wouldn't believe it. Using 7" 20ga SS and 5' 26ga FS only cost me $3.50. Plus whatever stone you use. The only head scratcher is how you want to finish at the top and what kind of bail you want to make. Lots of options. And big profit margin on these. And people love them!

On the other hand, learning chain maille made me want to kill myself. But once you figure it out it's just *very* time consuming and tedious. Results are great but, frankly, unless you're using SS jump rings, you can't really make any kind of profit on your time with them. And SS jump rings are not cheap. The ones I used in the photo ended up costing about $10. How often do you use $10 worth of silver wire in earrings?
