I recently found 9 barrels in an old rockhound estate. Most are banded and colors vary. This material takes a high polish.

Just finished 3 slices (one is an end cut) of the first Brazil Agate from your "find" and it is beautiful - black and white with some fortification (?) bands. Extremely hard stuff ! Has a great shine and I am thrilled. Will post some photos when I have more ready. Hate to bring out the camera for just these three. But they are really pretty. Thanks
