Without cheating and "Googling" the answer, does anyone on this board know?
You'll be surprised when you find out.

I don't know, but it must be a cave. There's a place called something like "Crystal Cavern" that's under water. Maybe in Mexico? That's my best guess.

I have a chunk of a geode which would have been somewhere around 6 foot in diameter by my best guess.
The best part is that I found it mnyself and it glows under SW like a beacon.

A crystal-lined hole in a rock is not necessarily a geode.
Biggest true geodes have to be Uruguayan or Brazilian amethyst, of hot-tub size.

I'd like to have an unsupervised day in the Rodo cave.

Yeah, it's amazing walking down the steep steps and into a cave filled with massive crystals… especially as a kid. Will be taking my 8 year old daughter this summer for the first time. Put-In-Bay Islands are a blast in general, and they're close to (arguably) the best amusement park in the world… Cedar Point.

There was a guy from Uruguay at Quartzite this year who was trying to sell a 30,000 kilo geode to some Chinese guys. He said it filled an entire cargo container. Lynn

It had been raining and the cave was flooded. Didnt get to see it. *sad face. Loved the little island and would love to go back! Lots of lake smoothed granite everywhere!
