Was just out taking a few pictures between rain showers.
a few more years and this will just be a green mossy mound.
Three top pieces are all Hampton Butte. It is amazing the different colors you find.

Those things are nasty, right along with millipedes and spiders. I know they are part of nature and I probably wouldn't kill them, but they do creep me out.

As used to creepy crawlers as I am, I was grossed out by the huge Banana slugs I ran into up in the Sierras. Another thing that took some getting used to was the Madagascar hissing cockroaches we raised for reptile food when we had the business. Shotgunner can likely relate

Shotgunner can likely relate DH and I did a behind the scenes tour at the National Aquarium in Baltimore. I got to hold one of those cockroaches.... voluntarily. I figured if the ladies in South America could wear live ones as jewelry, then they couldn't be all that bad. It really wasn't that bad, but I drew the line at the humongous tropical millipede.
