Found one in my boxes a little smaller than Palm size. Pretty clear looking with what appeared to be a small speck of black on just one side. I thought, heck I don't normally slab thin slices but Imma see if it will iris after seeing all the talk about the clear ones being the possibility of finding the iris inside. I found this instead:  Next cut will be thinner just to see |

It didn't iris but the bands do show up in a cool way  Edit: just 2mm thick |

Nice cuts..........................I just finished a few Montanas today too,will post them tomorrow...........
I was trying for an Iris too,but a no go....LOL.....

The background banding is just insane. I never knew they did that After you cut a lot of Montana,the designs,will knock your socks off,on what nature does to these rocks.... Montana's are my favorite rock to cut.... |
