Copper minerals, possibly chrysocolla, included in the quartz matrix. Find quite a bit of that in copper mine tailings. Should cab up pretty nice since the quartz is hard stuff....Mel

Looks a lot like the chyrsocola I collect in the Goodsprings District, Nevada. The matrix is likely primarily dolomite, not quartz from the look of it with some limonite. The bright blue would be rosasite specifically and the green in the center left is bromargyrite (silver bromide).
It is likely that the piece did come from Nevada. I have never seen bromargyrite in Arizona specimens.

I have never seen bromargyrite in Arizona specimens. I miss Nevada. Been there like 6 or 7 times. It's been at least ten years since the last time I was out there. Never did enough rockhounding while there ever. If you do get back up this way let me know. There are a few good places to collect within 100 miles of here.
