Some parral agate might show this pattern.

OK, yeah I think you're right. It does look like parral agate. It isn't the hardest agate going, so I was back & forth in my mind if it was an agate at all. Compared to some Brazil I cut recently which was MUCH harder. Really great-looking in person...

That's Mr. Smarty Pants to you Jim!
By the way Earp Ca is so named because Wyatt Earp spent some time there.

The ratio of white to purple varies. Also the intensity of the twisting. The one Chuck cabbed I'd like a worm track. I like the white with purple curls and waves better.
Scott we go there next year, it's a walk tho. I have to do it in stops and starts sitting on a bucket to rest. There is also a gold mine there with the ceiling covered in minature amethyst druzzy.

Be careful with this orrum character - last time I believed him he had us drive 40 miles out in the desert to stare at a wall of rock waiting for agates to come popping out.

Tommy that sounds like the pastel agate in Wiley Wells Cs. It's s huge monolith of agate a hundred feet tall and twice as wide! It's mostly pink, blue and grayish. Very hard too. Rare but some is a deep purple found as float at the bottom towards the road! It's about 50 feet of s very nice dirt road.
Scott I can't do coordinates. You go to Earp and head west, turn into BLM land with the access road to pipeline leading to the Colorado River. GO Forever Until the road crosses a major wash. Turn left and go to a parking area. Don't leave the road! It's illegal to drive. Walk up a huge wash going up for a half mile. This is going to lead to a small mountain of jaspagate. No power tools allowed!!! There is a grest piece of purple stuff at the base of the thing the size of a coffin. People have beat it to death but it ain't giving up. Best way to search is to look for float down the hill. Look for a small piece sticking up and hope it's a big one under ground. The land you hike across is in recovery so no collecting on it.
Great luck exploring! Those hills are full of lapidary rocks.

Pastelite hill is awesome. I brought home a big chunk of pink and white when I went. Maybe 40#. Thanks Bill for the directions
