Driven with a 1/4 HP motor at 2200 RPM. A 7" diamond cup wheel costing $49.95 at Harbor Freight. Pre-grinds for 15,20,20 and 25 pound rotaries. Lasts at least as long as 100 tile blades, probably twice that. Grinds rough at about 5 pounds per hour reducing coarse grind to 2-3 weeks instead of 8-10 weeks. Requires canister type mask for breathing protection. Watch fingers

mohs Florida silicified coral along with Montana and Snakeskin telling about how hard these rocks are. Gotta say, the Florida coral tops them all; it is some stubborn rock. Most of the volcanic formed amygdule agates grind a good bit faster. Like the assortment from the Rio Grande for instance.

Watch fingers James, you provide info and parts list to make the King Kong Grinder, yet neglact to mention the purloined cutting board filched from the wife's kitchen. Wazzup with that? Thinking that is one of the most important parts, a safety feature.
