Very nice tumble and great rocks. I swear I've seen that kind of stone before being sold with some sort of commercial rock name, but I can't remember what it is. Maybe I'm getting it confused with Mary Ellen Jasper, which has the same reddish iron but is more patterned? -Don

Very nice batch once again. The "jaspelite" is very cool. I have found a few down here in the flat lands ... don't really know what they are either. I'm not sure what you mean by, "don't really know what they are either." It's banded iron formation. Does that help, or did you mean something else? farm8.staticflickr.com/7576/26587774310_12c69f26be_b.jpgThis particular rock, or it's type. Red with spots of what I also believe to be hematite. Not banded like jaspelite pics I've seen before. In your description you said, "Jaspelite, at least that's what I'm calling these. They appear to have some hematite in them." Clear as mud, right?

Ok, now I understand. Yes, that one is not exactly banded. I'm not sure if that counts as BIF or not. Cool rock either way,

The other day I dumped slurry like that in the creek. Stained the creek water for 400 yards downstream for a whole day. EPA visit in 3...2...1...

Got no problem there charliework. Next downstream neighbors are a series of timber companies and large land owners for about 8 miles. Thanks for the heads up.
