This piece of Jade is set in a copper wrapped ring with prongs. A little nerve-wracking and difficult first attempt. It was quite secure but I wasn't really confident, so I added a touch of glue on the back of the stone. Now it's secure. I know y'all hate glue, but I'd rather use a dab than lose my stone. It's not going to be sold, anyway.
I normally don't like dyed stones, but I loved this agate and the fact that the little drusy was not dyed. Tried a different way to wrap it than normal, using 8 ga half-round copper, which I roughed up with a file. You can't see the tiny scratches on the stone with the naked eye. Very secure. No glue. Sore fingers.
