Finally got around to learning this. I thought it would be much harder to do. It works up pretty quick. This is 18" with 6 leads of 26 g copper. This is for my daughter she wears lots of copper and brass jewelry. I almost have the bracelet done and the earrings are next.

I've been all set to go on this for a while. Glad to hear it is easier than anticipated. You have inspired me!

I've been all set to go on this for a while. Glad to hear it is easier than anticipated. You have inspired me! It really is not at all as difficult as it looks. And, depending on how tight you weave it, it draws out almost double. I used wire pieces the length of my arms stretched out and used 3, I think, for the necklace. I used the lazee daizee tool. The real benefit to it is that it makes it easier to add a new wire. But, after learning this, I can see where the tool wouldn't be needed, but is nice to have (and use). edit tool link

Meant to add.... if you like to tumble your work, as I do, DON'T. The little pellet tumbling medium got inside the chain and were a bear to get out. I knew better and I did it anyway. Won't do that again!

Is there anything you don't do well?? Just joking...lol. You nailed that Viking Weave, WTG. I have a bugger of a time finishing the ends but looks like you do that well too....sigh...lol.

drocknut Thanks I don't know about the other ways to do it, but with the tool, you have pretty neat ends to work with. It really wasn't any trouble to fit the cones over them. orrum I think the cones and bead work very well and are very sturdy. This is a real solid piece.

I hope that helps.

Very cool indeed! I might venture into trying this. Love the ends. Clever.
