Im in Tulsa Oklahoma area. I have what I have guessed is a faceting machine. Has wood craftsman tools. A big box of stones and gems and gadgets. I need it appraised. Is there anyone in the area?

A quick check of Tulsa and Oklahoma City Craig's list sites shows lapidary equipment being offered by sellers in two nearby towns, but . . . both seem to be way too costly based on what I see offered. Hence they may be folks trying to work the high end of the profit and thusly not necessarily objective in what they might offer for your equipment. I'd call around and see if someone does not know about a lapidary club or try anything like a natural history or science museum to see who they might know who is into lapidary. If you have a friendly neighborhood jeweler, they might be a good source of into of who to talk to. Good luck and if all else fails, post photos here for some realistic opinions on potential value or reasonable asking prices. Tom Whoops, Google just disclosed that Tula's Geoscience Center has exhibits on identification of rocks and minerals. Someone there must know folks locally who are interested in the hobby. T.
