Hi All, I posted on here earlier along with a link to my Ebay store before reading about the 50 post rule. My name is Mark and I just wanted to say that i meant no disrespect to the members or this site. i am a lifelong rockhound who enjoys digging, cutting, & polishing here on the Oregon coast. I do most of my digging in central and south eastern Oregon when i get the chance. I am hoping to get back into the thunderegg beds down in McDermit in September as I keep hearing rumours of them being shut down due to the amount of wild fires in the last couple of years. I have gotten some nice eggs out of there over the years and will miss digging there. Warm Regards to all fellow rockhounds, Sincerely...Mark...MLOGANROCKS...Oregon Coast...

Welcome to the forum Mark! Fellow Oregonian here. Oh, and by the way, that 50 post rule only exists in the minds of a few members. Feel free to pretend you never read it.

Mark, Welcome to the forum. The unwritten rule applies to selling on the forum. I think an eBay link is OK. eBay has vetted you. Lynn

Mark, Welcome to the forum. The unwritten rule applies to selling on the forum. I think an eBay link is OK. eBay has vetted you. Lynn As I mentioned earlier, this "RULE" only exists as a recommendation in the minds of a few members. Please don't be put off or intimidated by their comments. Whatcha got to sell?

Thank You all for the comments, I am just north of Lincoln city have 3 acres in Otis and have converted my barn into my work shop for all of my cutting and polishing needs. I sell on Ebay to pay for my hobby as I am a collector of the Laguna and Agua Nueva nodules. I do occasionally go agate hunting on the beaches but prefer to a little north to cape mears where I have had luck with fist size agates along with the thunderstorm jasper.

My wife and In Laws use to live in Otis......Friendly little place, but the meth heads moved into their area, they moved away from the drama (police, thieving, and noise all hours of the day and night)... Wouldn't mind living in that area,if it was out of town a bit...
Most of my hounding is in the valley and eastern Oregon....Hits the beaches when we visit the daughters in Beverly Beach..

My wife and I are fortunate to live where we're at, we have 3 acres and neighbors are not close to us. Our property is fenced and gated along with two 160 lb watch dogs that are not friendly with strangers unless they're children. We have not had any problems in the 15 years we have lived here. There is still an abundance of meth heads further up the road about a mile, however they will not even walk on the road on the same side as our property because of the dogs doing they're job and protecting they're territory. our nearest neighbor is actually a state trooper so that deters people with wrong intentions as well.

Welcome to the forum Mark. Hope you have a great experience with everyone here. I live in Utah, and have a good size collection myself, but The cool thing about joining is getting involved in traveling Boxes, trips, and rock exchanges.
