I went out with my boys, my sister and her kids last week, and we had a BLAST looking for rocks. We found an area that was under development, and the sand in the area was full of beauties. Here are some of the better ones we found... The ones toward the bottom are (I believe) jaspers, and toward the top it's a mixed bag. My sister found these two, and I could use some help identifying them. These pictures don't really do them justice. The one on the left is REALLY translucent, and the stripes are inside the rock, moreso than on the surface. The one on the right is emerald green and feels like slate of some sort. Then, I have been re-doing my landscaping, and have found a whole bunch of really awesome rocks (at least to me) out in my yard that just came as river rock. I think these are jaspers, but please correct me if I'm wrong. I am going to tumble a lot of these, but I just have a Model T, so it might be 2060 before I get them all done unless I pop for another tumbler. I was thinking about the AR-2, since I could interchange the barrels with the Model T, and keep them grit-specific. Thoughts? Thank you!

Nice day!
I have an AR-2 and I like it. Of course, it only spins two at a time...

I have an AR2, but I like my Lortone tumblers a lot better. I've had the AR2 jump off the shafts once and leak several times. I haven't ever had those problems with my Lortones and I've had the Lortones much longer.
