It's a small one because I was trying to get it done so I could choose one for the tumbleoff before the deadline. I'll probably a few back in rough grind to improve them. Thanks for looking Andrea The whole batch Some pet palm I got from snuffy a couple of years ago. I intentionally left some of the markings instead of getting perfectly smooth. A piece of Lavic siding flame agate from Sabre52 a couple of San Jacinto river gravel from txrockhunter some Montana gates and misc. rocks. A couple of unakite from Jugglerguy and more misc. Couple of odd ones. This tigereye has a strip of Quartz (?) running through the middle of it. Backlit This piece of pet wood brownish/greyish on one side and red and yellow on the other. It could have used a little more in the rough stage but I didn't want to lose the coloring. Other side

Those are some really cool rocks. I like the purple one in the bottom left of the third picture. I also like the pinkish striped one in the same picture at about two o'clock. That last picture of the pet wood reminds me of a fish filet. Yummy!

Really nice tumbles! My favorite is the purple and red one... is it amethyst with hematite?

It's India amethyst I got from therockshed.com That was the one I was hoping would be my entry to the tumbleoff but it has little pits in it. I'm debating whether or not to send it back to rough grind. Not sure what the pinkish striped one is.

Lots of great stuff there, always like the variety. I like the Montana's, looking forward to getting some of those.

I like the lighter colors, seems my tumbles end up dark rocks. I usually tumble saw scrap, broken edges and stuff to small or fractured to cab. Gotta quit that now that we have a tumble contest!

Ever want to, or feel the need to take photos of both sides ? Just not satisfying to show one side lol. Those all look like 2-siders. Can't get enough of that palm. What does the other side look like ?

Great shine and nice variety. I like the Montana that looks like a tumbled cab in the first photo at 8:00 position.

Thanks everyone. Garage Rocker I really like Montana agate too. I have a lot more tumbling now. Be warned, you need a lot of patience, they take forever to tumble. orrum I tumble scraps too. I have a container full of tumbled pieces around 1/4". They are pretty but not good for tumblings contests. Need to get some bigger stuff. Drummond Island Rocks That is a tumbled cab. It is one of the first cabs I did. I put it into the tumbler to round the edges a little. jamesp here is the other side of the Palm.

I would have in a heartbeat. Thanks, actually like the other side better.

Part of the reason I went ahead and got a 12 lb. tumbler is so I can throw a few of those very hard materials in there and forget about them while other materials come and go. I still haven't picked any up for my bucket, but I came across some Blackskin agate that has some similarities. I'm looking forward to getting these through. I'm guessing they will take just as long.

Garage Rocker I just ordered a 12 lb tumbler. It should be delivered today. I've got lots (not too many) of rocks I want to tumble. I hope to have it rolling tonight. I think I may have some black skin somewhere too. Andrea

So that's what they're supposed to look like!!!! Those are fantastic! I have tumbled quite a few of those San Jacinto rocks through the rough grind and finally have the 1st batch polishing in my new Lot-O....
I like that you left some of the texture on the palm! I think it adds character to the palm and pet wood.
Thanks for posting!
