After slabbing and a wipe down put 'em out in the Colorado sun. It dries them up real nice and will burn the hide off you too.

'Bout 20 miles NW of you there in the Fort, Glacier View.
It's a mix. The red is P Wood. Then there's the obligatory Tiger's Eye. About a dozen septerian nodule slabs and halves. Friend gave me the rough when he moved. Got 1 nodule left that's too big for my saw need at least a 14'er to cut it. A small calcite geode and a smattering of other stuff. There's some novaculite to the right just above my hand's shadow, been carrying that stuff since '75. I'll often pick up something that looks interesting and give it a cut or 2 just to see what's inside. I've found some nice agates that, lot of junk too.
I'm fond of picture jasper and agate geodes. Also P Wood, lace and fancy agates. But I'll try anything once, twice if I like it.
