Hi yall im going to be creating a quartz crystal necklace. I have made some before with just a thin piece of wire however on this one and possibly on other ones i want to make it look like the crystal is floating underneath a metal spinning clasp and chain or what ever the person or people what to use for the necklace it self so here is my question if i get a thin but strong tensil strength fishing line for my wrapping would it be strong enough it dont break. Any suggestions and ideas is my appreciated thanks

The only thing I can say is that mono filament tends to stretch and gets brittle with time esp when exposed to the sun. There is a kind called fireline, I think, that you might want to look into. I'm not sure if it comes in clear, but I think it does. Beaders use it for beading wire.
