One big chunk of Turquoise in that puppy! I hand cut the bezel from 28 ga sterling sheet and hand made the bolo tips. Not sure of the mine location, but it was not stabilized. It's being worn by J.D. Baker who is the chuck wagon cook/story teller/performer at Shepard of the Hills in Branson Just for the helluvit, post your guesses at what you think it is worth. I probably sold it too cheap!

No idea about value but.... Never trust a skinny cook so JD must be a master of his craft and as such it takes a big man to wear a big bolo!!! It looks fantastic great cabbing and silversmith skilz both!!!

Nice to see your work being worn... and worn so proudly! What a character he must be. Totally living large. That turquoise belongs on him. No guess as to value. They don't sell bolos out here.

You nailed it, but on the lower end. started out as wanting the stone only, then decided to have it bezel set, then decided he needed a bolo clip and cord. He then decided he did not have bolo tips after all, so it became a drawn out piecemeal affair. I'm doing several other smaller pieces for him, so gave a quantity discount on some things. JD is the model only as this piece is headed to Michigan

Well, JD looks good with it. It suits him. He is shy and bashful as can be, and takes lighthearted ribbing quite well, so I'll tell him I posted his pic and had the ladies asking if he was on Farmers only.com He is a heckuva nice guy and when he popped in for a visit yesterday, I just had to get a pic of him with it on

I'm so happy for you. I know you got a great deal on the stone so you had gumption to price aggressively. Confidence in your abilities paid off! Thumbs up!! radio

Arlen, How long is the braided cord for such a big guy? Lynn It would need to be about 44 inches to fit Joe properly. The cord is 40 inches to fit the customer it was made for

I would have said $250-300 The Turquoise is in excess of 100 grams and is natural, not stabilized or dyed. A chunk like that will set you back at least $300, that is IF you can even find one. Fox, Mexican or Chinese would be less.
