Basically every agate I tumbled in that batch. They either have faint banding or ridiculous amounts of inclusions, not really any in between. My favorites (Top: Quartz with Blue Agate, Left: Jasper, Right: Agate with interesting inclusions that resemble pits in some areas) Some unknown material. The very bottom stone looks very similar to that hunk I mistook for petrified whale bone. Might have to break it up and see if it tumbles? And different angles of some of them: You can see my dog's reflection on the right picture, lol. These were all self collected at Pescadero Beach, thanks for looking.

The one with your dog looks like a Werther's Original candy, yum! Nice self collected batch.

Thanks for the comments guys! I managed to forget two, my bad: Tossing the right one back into the tumbler to do it all over again.. Some of the most well defined orbs on the other side have chipping

Those two forgotten ones are worth a whole tumble. Great job Shannon. Beautiful cumulus nimbus. Killer shine

Those two forgotten ones are worth a whole tumble. Great job Shannon. Beautiful cumulus nimbus. Killer shine Thanks! I really like the flower look the orbs have on that material so this latest batch is 100% MHPJ (hopefully that avoids chipping? might need more tumbling media) More than anything I'm glad at least that picture of that agate accurately reflects how good it turned out!... This guy insisted on "helping" me while I tried to photograph it.

All it takes is one reflection like that and you have reached tumble master. Full sun makes them look dull. Focus camera on reflection in bright shade and presto. As done in the cumulus nimbus rendition. Enough light will create a high f-stop setting like f/16-f/22 and both rock and reflection will be in focus. You often have to fool the auto focus, and it will often search between focusing on surface of rock or the reflection. If your auto focus can not discriminate then you have an out of the zone polish. Switch to manual focus. Or you can take photos with a fluorescent fixture for a light source:

Beautiful! The very top left looks like opal and the one hiding next it, carnelian? I was just south of there on fathers day fishing and while not catching any fish I was looking for rocks and driftwood. The PJ on the right showing cross sections of the orbs is fantastic it looks 3D. I see some weird mixture of candy corn, red rock mountains, traffic cones and a feather. Did you collect the PJ yourself? Iv'e often thought about an excursion in the MH area.

I wish I collected the PJ myself, but I got it from a guy on craigslist! He's based out of San Jose and appears to either own or know someone with MHPJ on their property. He'll probably email me when he gets more material in so I'll make another post with his info in the sellers section when that time comes.
