I pick up about 600 pound of rock today. obsidian, rainbow ledge, misc agates and jasper. going to sell med flat rate boxes for $30.00 with includes shipping if anyone wants any make a coomment in this thread I can make a box of diffent type of rocks. this is a link to my facebook page, sorry for not posting pics to this tread. dan |

yes, was going to get a 300 pound boulder of the rainbow ledge, but too damn tried to carry it to my truck

Rainbow Ledge, oftentimes mistakenly called Rainbow Ridge, is the name of the claim held by the Indian Wells Gem & Mineral Society. It is located approximately 15 miles south of Inyokern, Ca. and has been well a know collecting site for over 50 years. Because of greed shown in the past, the claim is closed to the general public, and collecting is allowed only on hosted trips. High clearance vehicles are recommended, but not necessary if you drive carefully. 
The material at the claim is a jasp-agate in a rainbow of pastel colors. Also found is a yellow and gunmetal blue with dendrites.
